Studland naturist guilty of harrassment PDF Print E-mail

A man from Poole was given a 15-month conditional discharge atBlandford Magistrates on 26th July 2006 after being found to havecaused harassment to a clothed woman at Studland beach.

 

The man, who was reported to have been wearing only a jacket - isalledged to have approched the woman and suggested she have sex withher husband on the beach:
 
"He told me to take my swimming costume off and then he stripped off his top so that he was stark naked."
 
According to reports in the local newspaper,magistrates decided his general behaviour was threatening but failed toconvict him of "indecent exposure". They accepted his explanation thathe was merely "removing sand from his genitalia". He was ordered to pay£150 in costs.
