The Executive Council of British Naturism has moved to fill the post of Research and Liaison Officer left vacant by their ejection of John Paine.

Since there were no candidates for election to the post at the recent Annual General Meeting, BN has decided to appoint Malcolm Boura to the role.

Malcolm is well known to naturists who use the internet as as leading member of the NUFF collective, collators of the Naturist UK Fact File. He has also been one of BN's regional representatives and was involved with the short-lived UK Naturist Association.

Malcolm has previously stood for election to the BN Executive Council as Public Relations Officer and - in the view of many observers - ought to have got the job when coming second to a candidate who then stood down before taking office. Instead, the post was left vacant (and still is) with the PRO's role apparently being filled by BN's salaried "Commercial Manager" Andrew Welch.

Critics of the BN management team style will be wondering whether Malcolm Boura will be given the freedom to do the job properly. If so, it will represent a considerable change of heart by the Executive Council. Few of the recent holders of the RLO job have completed their full term either being pushed out like John Paine or, in the case of Charlie Simmonds, resigning in frustration.
